Tobi Weiss

Born in Wuppertal - Germany, Tobi Weiss discovered his love for music when he was gifted a tiny toy piano at the early age of 6. Starting in the first year of secondary school he received 8 consecutive years of cello classes. His passion for music made him enroll in music production at SAE-Institute in Cologne, graduating in 2017.

Tobi has composed for several projects, including a 20 Minute Soundtrack for a Sci-Fi Novel; various Indie Video Games (Gilded Shadows, Hippoxxus); advertisements and film projects by spicy concepts (Bilstein, GAP, Gira); soundtracks for a diversity of short films as well as the concept and realization of Nory’s Escape (jump and run game, Amazon DEFCON 2017 award). Furthermore, he worked for the Landestheater Tübingen, composing the music for the play "Die Netzwelt" in partnership with Stefan Faupel.

Through the years he realized that small and mid-size independent game developers and artists are often the most exciting projects since they aren't subject to AAA-Production restrictions and often tend to be more diverse and creative. At the same time, a lot of developers and visual artists aren't aware of all the possibilities and the positive impact a custom and unique OST (Original Score) can create when paired with their visual media projects. That's why Tobi has specialized himself in creating unique OST for Independent Developers, demystifying the potential and power of a custom, unique OST.
