A New Voice For Your Music
A complete Native American-style flute training for composers, songwriters and creative musicians.
Presented by Music Cosmos: helping composers and musicians deepen their creative voice through music.
Why This Training Is Different
Most flute courses focus on notes and fingerings.
This training focuses on what makes the Native American-style flute such a powerful musical voice: breath, tone, phrasing, space and expression.
Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced musician, you'll learn how to create melodies that feel alive, emotional and personal.
For composers and songwriters, the flute can become more than another instrument - it can become a source of themes, textures and musical ideas that naturally emerge through improvisation.
The goal isn't simply to play songs. The goal is to develop a relationship with the instrument and discover your own voice through it.

The CurrentWhy Composers Love The Native American-style Flute
The Native American-style flute has a unique ability to create melodies that feel human, spacious and emotional.
Unlike many instruments, it allows beautiful musical phrases to emerge quickly - even without years of technical training.
For film composers, game composers, ambient artists and songwriters, it can become:
A source of original melodic ideas
A sketching tool for new compositions
A distinctive recording instrument
A way to reconnect with musical intuition
Many students discover that the flute influences not only how they play, but how they write music.

The CurrentYour guide
Welcome to The Current! My name is Bruno, and I’m excited to guide you through the process of connection with such an amazing instrument.
Music isn’t something we need to force or figure out from scratch - it’s something most of us already know at a basic level. My purpose here is to offer the structure I wish I had when I started learning this instrument, so you can give yourself permission to reconnect with that.
I’ve been studying music and working professionally in studio and live settings for many years, both as a producer and instrumentalist. I’ve also developed academic courses, music platforms, and worked in ceremonial contexts. So this approach comes from a wide range of experience.
Because of that, my way of learning and teaching comes from a different place: one that focuses on listening, phrasing, and how sound actually functions in real musical contexts.
Here you’ll find high-quality and straight-to-the-point material. You’ll also have access to the exercises in a library format, so you can revisit techniques anytime without needing to go through full explanations.

Throughout this course, you’ll see me playing several different types of flutes, including bamboo flutes, drone flutes, and 3D-printed flutes by a company called I Am Sound.
I like using different instruments so you can begin developing your ear for the subtle differences in tone, response, and feel between flutes.
If you’re just getting started, the 3D-printed flutes are honestly a great option. They’re lightweight, affordable, durable, and very reliable. I use them myself for recordings and even on tour because I can travel with them without worrying about damage.
Students of this training also receive a 20% discount on I Am Sound flutes (use code BRUNOJUSTI).
Most of the exercises in this course are demonstrated using flutes in the keys of A and D. The key of A is one of the most beginner-friendly options because of its comfortable hole spacing.
If your flute is in a different key, that’s completely fine. Simply follow the fingerings and exercises as demonstrated - the notes may sound different, but the technique, relationships, and musical results remain the same.

If you already have experience with the flute, this work can help you step back and refine your foundation.
Many of the exercises are developed from my background as a guitarist, transferring ways of practicing and thinking about movement to the flute.
This approach can help you develop more control over finger independence, timing, and articulation, while bringing more clarity and intention to how you move through the instrument.
